Local Student Awarded Scholarship
Gracie Gaspard, daughter of First Federal Bank of Louisiana Westlake Branch Supervisor Anna Abshire, was the recipient of $1,000 in scholarship funds as part of the Louisiana Bankers Association (LBA)’s First Time College Freshmen Scholarship.
The scholarship was presented to Gracie by First Federal Bank of Louisiana Senior Vice President/Director of Human Resources Mallie Bowers, LBEC Council Member Susan Allardyce, and LBEC Ambassador Caleb Waldmeier. LBEC is housed under LBA.
To receive this scholarship, one of the student’s parents must be employed by a LBA member bank in Louisiana, and the student must be enrolling in a Louisiana college or university as a first time, full-time student with a major in a banking-related field, such as management, accounting, marketing, or business administration.
